Psalms: Songs of the Heart
Smack in the middle of our Bible is an ancient hymnal. These songs anchored the Old Testament Saints in the reality that God was still at work in the minutia of their lives. So we don’t just get flowery poetry, but a map of the human soul throughout. The Psalms are full of writers exploring every corner of human emotions, and we do well to dig in deeply to understand our own lives before God.
