what to expect.

Sunday Morning Nursery

Christ Pres offers nursery aged childcare for children, ages birth to two years old, during both the 8:30 & 10:45am Sunday morning services. Our nursery is equipped with multiple rooms (dividing children by age), a nursing mother's room, a child-sized bathroom and an age appropriate outdoor playground. We utilize a combination of our own Christ Pres members and hired nursery workers to staff our nursery each Sunday.

If it is your first time visiting Christ Pres with a nursery aged child, just head down the only hallway off our lobby (just under the stairs to the second floor) and through the double doors. You'll meet one of our specially trained Nursery Supervisors who can help you get your child checked in and answer any questions you may have. Please scroll down to learn more about KidCheck, the secure children's check-in system we utilize, and go ahead and create a family account to make Sunday mornings run smoothly.

At Christ Pres, nothing is more important to us than the safety and security of your children. That’s why we’ve chosen KidCheck as our children’s check-in solution to bring you the best check-in experience and to allow us to partner with you to keep your children safe. All children sixth grade and below should be registered in the KidCheck system. To register your children visit kidcheck.com.

What to Expect as a Sunday Morning Member Volunteer

It takes a lot of manpower to provide a safe and fun environment for our children. For this reason, we ask all able-bodied Christ Pres members to serve our children in the nursery. When a member is scheduled for nursery duty they can expect to play with children, rock babies, and generally supervise children in the nursery area. Anyone can do it!

In addition to church member volunteers, we also have several hired nursery workers on hand to assist with diapers changes, bathroom breaks and upset children. Male nursery volunteers will never be asked to change a diaper or accompany a child to the bathroom.

A Nursery Supervisor is on duty each Sunday morning to give instruction to our member volunteers and answer any questions that parents, and nursery workers may have.

Our nursery is a huge blessing to so many of our members and visitors. Your service is vital to this church ministry. If you ever have any questions please do not hesitate to reach out to our Director of Children's Ministries, Elizabeth Adrian, at elizabeth@cpcoxford.org.
